So here is my take on the past weekend. I thought Chalk Creek was big. Compared to the Chili Challenge it was like.... well just a pinch over half the size. Chalk Creek saw 948 total race starts and the Chili Challenge will be closer to 1400 when it is all said and done! When a mix-up in qualifying placed semi pro RPM rider Rudy Unrau as the 27th place qualifier in the Pro class at the Sea Otter classic, Rudy was prepared to protest, as he would have been the 2nd place qualifier in his actual class. However, when he saw that he was pitted against legend Steve Peat in the first round, Rudy decided that it was the chance of a lifetime. Check out the video!
