Yeti Spring Series

Image Yeti Spring Series 2008

News Release - March 19, 2008

Race Performance Management, the promotion company and race team that brings you the YETI SPRING SERIES and the CHALK CREEK STAMPEDE, is sad to announce that the first race of the Yeti Spring Series is going to have to be either cancelled or rescheduled due to snow and mud. Because of an extraordinary amount of snowfall in December and January combined with cold temperatures, the snow had not started melting until a couple of weeks ago. Even with the warm temperatures of March we still have a significant amount of snow on the ground, knee deep in some spots.

The weekend of April 26th and 27th is going to be the first weekend of the Yeti Spring Series. We are looking at dates in May to reschedule the first event of the series. Also the weekend of March 29th and 30th we are planning on having a build/ride session if the conditions permit. We will be working on the courses that weekend and if things dry up we may even be able to ride the Original Course.

What to expect for changes at the Chalk Creek Riding Park this spring is a new starting hill set up which will allow us to have a gate set up in both directions at all times to run both mountain cross courses at the same time! If CJ Timing can do it, we are planning on having beginner and sport riders practice and race on Original Course with Pro, Semi-Pro, and Expert classes racing the Extra Crispy course at the Chalk Creek Stampede. We are also planning on making a few changes to the first quarter of the Extra Crispy course.

The Yeti Spring Series  (YSS) will be returning in 2008 with bigger and better venue changes for the spring. Like last year, we will be starting all events from the Mounatin Cross race area. Events will include Cross Country, Dual Slalom, and Mountain Cross over two days! Read on to check out the schedule!

Held under USAC Permit, all USAC rules apply
