Thursday the 30th we packed up and headed out. It snowed over night once again so we got an early start. We picked Bergen up in Vail and kept going on to the airport in Denver. Dig-Ride weekends are an annual event here at RPM. Keith and the McMurrays graciously allow people to come down to Nathrop and, well... dig... and ride. These weekends are close to my heart for several reasons, not the least of which is this how we met Keith and learned about the RPM program. The Darners; Taf, Keith, Louie, Flo, Shorty, Bronco and Edie, made a trip to the Fruita area for Taf’s Spring break. Many a mile of single track were had as we checked out the XC loop for the Rabbit Valley race in April. And man, is the Western Rim Trail going to be a delight for those XC racers! We rode almost all Fruita had to offer under perfect weather conditions. |

Under partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid 40s, a few of the RPM riders got together to do some gate training here in Nathrop, Colorado. Many gates were had along with some good ole’ ranch burgers. After three hours of gates and shenanigans, we headed up to the mountain cross courses to do a little work on the start hill in preparation for the new gate. |

There’s nothing like getting to listen to how a group ride went, when you were the one stuck back at home working. So, after 3 weeks of hearing about how cool the trails were, how fast everyone rode, how much Proctor can eat, it was finally our turn to get in on the fun.
