We went down to the Ranch yesterday to help put the finishing touches on the Extra Crispy 4X track for this weekend's race, and lemme tell you despite the weather we busted our humps and got a TON of stuff done. Our friend Troy that races for Mojo Wheels came down to help out, and he had a helmet cam with him, so he did a few runs. Here's the best one he got:

We made a lot of mods to the 4X track, broomed and watered the whole thing, and got her ready to race. The track is shaping up to AWESOMENESS since we re-worked the entire lower half! We changed the fifth turn from a berm that was too far out to a banked corner, NASCAR style, to promote more passing. After that corner, we split the track into two separate lines around a tree: one with big rollers that's more pedally, the other with bigger doubles that's more jumpy. We also re-worked the upper rhythm section in the second straight: it's now two double jumps in a row, rather than the awkward setp-on-step-off tabletop thingy that was there before.

We also put in an entirely NEW short track loop, that will take the racers through the bottom of the new 4X track! Very exciting, and should be great to watch! The start/finish venue for the race is being held near the 4X and Dual Slalom tracks, so this year there should be LOTS more spectating.
