Location:

Fruita and Grand Junction, Colorado, April 24-25. A few RPM Gravity Riders double up and take a shot at racing both the Ranch Style Dual Slalom on Saturday and Rabbit Valley Rally XC on Sunday, the first endurance race in the Mountain States Cup.

Ranch Style Dual Slalom:

After overcooking the first turn, tumbling into the woods, and finishing last in his qualifier, Matt Branney won all three rounds to take 1st place in the 15 and Under category. New RPM kid Wyatt Freier took 3rd in the 15 and under category, beating Tanner Spence of Team Geronimo in the small final. Trevor Trinkino threw down in the Pro category and managed a solid 12th place finish against some sturdy competition. Scott Branney, in his own words, "...got smoked in the 1st round by some nice 16 year old from Mojo, probably wound up about 20th, my only redemption was that I didn't qualify las..." Nice work, Doc!

Rabbit Valley Rally Time Trial:

Sean Geisler, former junior XC haunch, throws down in the Time Trial with a 5th place finish in the Cat 1 Men 15-18. He then spent the rest of the time over the weekend working with the MSC Operations staff. Great job giving back Sean, the Ops guys were really impressed with his help, they want to hire him on for the summer.

Rabbit Valley Rally XC:

After making it through three rounds on Saturday in the Pro category of the Ranch Style Dual Slalom on his YETI 575, Trevor Trinkino shows up on Sunday and places 3rd in the Cat 2 Men 15-18 at Rabbit Valley, on the same bike. GREAT JOB! Max Beard made a minor miscalculation and misses his XC race start. However he managed to place 10yh out of 11 racers. Max was seen out on course, having a blast riding alternate lines and pumping and using terrain that his fellow competitors weren’t using.
